Envelope & Wedding Orders
If you don’t live in the Seattle area, no problem! Once you have
decided to place an order for envelope-addressing (or invitations,
place cards, etc) with Nancy Rust Calligraphy, follow these simple steps…![]()
- Email or call me to see if I have availability for your project.
- You will need to allow 10 working days for most projects, plus time for shipping. Choose the lettering style that would best match your invitations and your particular event. I’m happy to consult on which style would best suit your event.
- Choose what color ink you would like used. Black is the most common and the most formal. If you would like something less formal or a little different, I offer several other color choices.
- When it’s time, send me your envelopes and your deposit. It’s best
to send them as they arrived to you, in their original packaging. If
the envelopes are not already packaged, place them in a
Ziploc bag to protect against any possible water damage in shipping.
They should fit snuggly in your box, along with proper packing filler
(peanuts, bubble wrap, etc).

- A 50% deposit needs to be sent with your shipment of envelopes. I will give you an estimate before putting you on my calendar.
- When I complete your order, I will mail them back to you with a final invoice. Once you receive your addressed envelopes, please send the final payment within 30 days.
Below is pricing and details for envelopes. This should give you a general idea of the cost for your project but you can contact me for an exact estimate.
Outer Envelopes, $1.60/each
Inner Envelopes, $1.15/each
Return Address on Outer Envelopes, $1.45/each
Stuffing & Stamping Service, $0.50/each (+postage)
Opaque Envelopes, add $0.50/ea
Colored Ink, add $0.25/ea
- Each order has a 20% Supplies & Set Up Fee. You can read more about this fee on the Pricing page.
- Shipping costs vary depending on the size of your project and how quickly you need it shipped.
- Don’t forget that you will need to order 20% more envelopes than you need addressed to allow for mistakes, ink spills, etc. It’s better to have more than enough than to run out. There will be an additional fee if you are unable to provide me with extra envelopes.
- You will need to send me your address list typed out. Please proof it before you send it, as I will write each address exactly as you send it to me.
- If your envelopes are opaque or not conducive to calligraphy ink, an additional fee will apply.
- I carefully proof all of my work. However, in the event that you find a mistake that I did not catch in my proofing, I will redo the envelope at no cost to you. If the mistake is yours or you have further additions to your list, you will be charged for the extras. I usually hold on to a few extra envelopes in order to be prepared for this inevitability but if I do not use them, I’m happy to return them to you.
Seating Cards & Other Wedding or Party-related Orders work basically the same way, with regard to shipping, choosing the script & ink color, etc.
So what’s next? Contact me for an estimate on your project and to secure your spot on my calendar.
